TRUE SPIRIT OF GIVING

It’s as simple as writing a Blog! Got an item you are looking for? Find the appropriate category under the “Buy” link and post your request. Maybe you are selling something, a painting, salad dressing, leather work, etc. Simply go to the “Sell” link and list your item. Maybe you have an item you are looking to trade something for. Example: Will trade tattoo work for motorcycle. Find the appropriate category under the “Trade” link and post your ad. It is really as easy as that.

Because we have made it simple to advertise your buy, sell or trade items in Blog form we were able to incorporate another feature. True interaction, blog style. People looking at your postings will be able to comment on the posting and you will be able to comment back. This brings buyers, sellers and traders closer together and makes for a friendly and active community.

CREATING AVATARS:

Your Avatar is like a profile picture visually identifying you. True Spirit of Giving uses Gravatars for this purpose. Visit http://www.gravatar.com and follow the simple instructions. Once your Gravatar is created you will be able to use it over and over again on numerous sites including this one. In the top menu of each post under the visual tab you will notice a silhouette icon. Click on that icon to insert your Gravatar into your posting.

POSTING MEDIA:
Post photos, videos and music by using the Upload/Insert tabs at the of the comment box. Be creative, the skies the limit!

PHOTOS:
When posting your photos be sure to include the photos link so that the full size original photo can be viewed by others once they click on the photo in the posting. This can be done in two ways:

When inserting your photo into your post click on “FILE URL” this will insert a direct link into your photo. When people viewing your posting click on the photo it will open in a new window in it’s a original size for larger viewing.

When inserting your photo into your post click on “POST URL” this will insert an indirect link into your photo. When people viewing your posting click on the photo it will open in the posting size within the same window by itself. When the photo is clicked again it will open in a new window in it’s a original size for larger viewing.

PLEASE FOLLOW THESE TIPS WHEN POSTING:

Do not post personal information like your real name, address or phone number (unless you are a small business). Use your personal email as a contact method. Make sure that all personal information passes privately and not within the posting nor comments.

Please keep it clean. Remember this is family friendly site, keep it at least PG. Any vulgar or abusive language in a listing will result in that posting being deleted.

No pornographic items listed. We are not talking about adult items we are referring to items that could easily be considered pornographic in nature, i.e.; XXX Videos, Adult Toys, XXX Magazines, etc. Pornographic items will be deleted.
